what area should i stay in?
the heart of reykjavik, (laugavegur, skolavörðustígur, austurvöllur, lækjartorg) is where the life is. it’s full of cafes, RESTAURANTS, museums and other AMENITIES. You can get anywhere by foot or hop on a quick bus if you’re planning to go further out. Our ceremony and reception will also be here. this is our recommended area for you to get the most out of your stay.
Reykjavik city center
kopavogur is where jasmin grew up, it’s a 15 minute drive from the city centre which means you’d either have to rent a car or use the bus service (unreliable). It’s a residential area, but you might find it’s cheaper to stay here.
kopavogur
Another residential area, but further out than kopavogur, you will need a car to stay here! Not an ideal place to stay.
